Workplace Health Assesment (WHA)

TARGET GROUP

  • This program can be attended by all employees across the spectrum of an organization, right from top management to the coffee lady. 

FACTS ON HEALTH ISSUES

  • Studies showed that back pain/other musculoskeletal disorders is the 2nd most frequent reason for visits to physician, 3rd most common cause of surgical procedure and 5th ranking cause for admission
     

  • More and more organizations are seeking early intervention care to minimize the overall healthcare cost. This is achieved through awareness, early diagnosis and timely medical intervention. Back problem and other musculoskeletal problem are the most common reasons for medical leave.

OBJECTIVES

  • To enhance organizational productivity by proactively identifying and preventing musculoskeletal injuries at workplace.
     

  • To provide the legislative framework for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of the Malaysian workforce and protecting employees against safety or potential health risks in their work environment.

TRAINING PROGRAMME OUTLINE

  • Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements
     

  • To ensure the safety, health and welfare of employees against safety or health risks in their work environment
     

  • To protect person at place of work other than persons at work against risks to safety or health arising out of the activities of persons at work.
     

  • To promote an occupational environment suitable to the employees’ physiological and psychological needs
     

  • To determine, describe and practise safe and healthy working conditions and procedures as well as proper posture and basic understanding of biomechanics of movement at work.

  • Lectures
     

  • Audio Visuals (AV)
     

  • Demonstration and Practical Exercise
     

  • EMG Back Screening (Back Evaluation on back muscle condition)
